I can’t produce and mix through a generic low latency driver and laptop speakers. Any suggestions?Īnyway can anyone direct me regarding the Audio issue. Pretty sure the Focusrite needs to be available in that list and used to be. If I go into Audio connections/Inputs then look at the Audio Device column, there is now only the low latency generic or “Not connected” available as options. Perhaps that is just some other “bug” I don’t know about.įurther to this. It comes up with a “No internet connection” message which is strange as I’m obviously connected and have no trouble connecting through the support and forum tab to get here.
I notice that on startup the Hub no doesn’t automatically connect to the internet as it used to. The focusrite I/O hasn’t been changed or anything and still plays all my normal system sounds, mouse clicks, video, Internet etc. Now for some reason however when I go into Studio Setup/VST Audio System and click in the driver selection drop down arrow and click on the Focusrite option (which is still there in the list of options) I get the following error message: Cannot Open Focusrite USB ASIO. If that's the case, please see our Troubleshooting DPC Latency article.Every so often my Cubase 9.5.50 instal/system reverts from my Focusrite USB ASIO driver to the generic low latency driver, seemingly out of of nowhere, of it’s own accord… Usually it’s a simple matter of going into VST Audio System and switching back to the Focusrite driver. If you continue to experience clicks/pops/distorted audio after following the steps above then you may be experiencing an issue relating to DPC Latency. Expand the various busses until you find your USB controllers. To view what bus your interface is connected to open Device Manager (available from Control Panel), open the View menu and select "Devices by connection". Try connecting the interface to its own USB bus. When connected via a hub, this trade-off is less favourable. With any audio interface, you must trade performance/latency for stability. Sharing the same pristine audio quality as its larger siblings in the Cubase family, Cubase Elements provides the perfect starting point for intuitive song. Try to reconnect the USB device and see if it is recognized. If using a USB hub try connecting directly to a USB port on your computer. Some ports on your system may offer better performance than others. Speed: ASIO drivers (in general) allow lower CPU overhead and lower buffer. Try connecting your interface to other USB ports. Try disconnecting any other USB devices that you might have connected to the system. Please note this will reduce audio performance issues but increase latency.
